Sydney Theatre
Sydney Theatre is perfect for performances, conferences and
presentations.
The theatre boasts the latest in theatre design and technology,
including a state-of-the-art power flying system, movable
proscenium and three-part forestage/orchestra lift capable of
creating a highly flexible stage environment.
Accommodating up to 896, seating is arranged over two levels
with a capacity of up to 578 in the stalls and 318 in the circle
and boxes.
Richard Wherrett Studio
The Richard Wherrett Studio encapsulates the romance of Sydney
Theatre and its heritage. Located in the original Bond Store, it
features all the grandeur of yesteryear with high ceilings,
historic and rustic brickwork, iron bark beams and remnants of the
original industrial equipment.
When not being used for artistic purposes, the Studio makes an
outstanding venue for special events including dinners, cocktail
functions, product launches and business presentations, for which
its heritage character creates a uniquely intimate atmosphere.
The Richard Wherrett Studio is fitted with grid truss to allow
for rigging of set elements and drapery, theatrical lighting system
and standard sound system.

Ruth Cracknell Room
The Ruth Cracknell Room is Sydney Theatre's dedicated function
room and features original brickwork, beams and columns, giving it
evocative warmth.
The Ruth Cracknell Room can be hired for cocktail functions,
dinners, conferences and meeting facilities.

The Balcony
The Balcony (located directly off the Level 1 Foyer) provides an
excellent escape from the hustle and bustle of the foyers, or an
indulgent and exclusive space for a cocktail or dinner event.
Covered for most of its length, the balcony is suitable for
alfresco events overlooking Hickson Road.
While guests on the balcony can easily access the main bar on
this level, there is also provision for external bar facilities in
this space.
Foyers
Ground Floor and Level One Foyers can be hired when there are no
performances at Sydney Theatre. Boasting large windows allowing in
natural light, the Foyer spaces are perfect for private luncheons
or presentations.
Hickson Road Bistro
Sydney Theatre's 120-seat restaurant, Hickson Road Bistro provides
you with an atmospheric dining experience. Dramatic in design and
menu, the restaurant is the perfect place to start your
evening.
On nights when there are no performances at Sydney Theatre,
Hickson Road Bistro can be transformed for events.
