Sydney Dance Company - New Creations: Bonachela/Gat
Artistic Director and resident choreographer Rafael Bonachela will present two of his own works –
Soledad and
Irony of Fate - in Sydney Dance Company's second season of 2010 at Sydney Theatre. Rafael has also invited Israeli choreographic master Emanuel Gat, winner of his country's Cultural Award in 2005 and star of the 2009 Lincoln Center Festival in New York, to Sydney for the first time to create a World Premiere production.
“I am so thrilled that Emanuel Gat will create a commissioned work for the Company, adding further excitement to our 2010 Season of New Creations at Sydney Theatre in Walsh Bay – the new home of contemporary dance.”
