Walsh Bay Parking
A new permanent secure Car Park has opened in Walsh Bay on the corner of Hickson Road and Towns Place, coveniently located to Sydney Theatre and The Wharf.
The temporary Car Park operating on Pier 2/3 closed on November 12, 2005. Those patrons who have pre-booked their parking beyond this date will be sent vouchers for the new Towns Place Car Park.

Public Transport
Route 430 now operates between the Queen Victoria Building and Walsh Bay. Click here to see a map of the route and to read a complete timetable.
This service integrates with Routes 431, 433 and extends to Glebe Point.
You can also catch trains, ferries and buses to Circular Quay. Sydney Theatre is a 20 minute walk from Circular Quay. The easiest way is to follow the harbour foreshore, past the Museum of Contemporary Art, past the Park Hyatt hotel, under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and around the corner - and there you'll find us - located opposite Pier 6/7 on Hickson Road.
Taxis
If you don't feel like walking, the taxi fare from Circular Quay should cost no more than $6. Catching a taxi is an easy way to get delivered straight to Sydney Theatre.
Street Parking
Hickson Rd has metered parking. They are for a maximum of 4 hours and cost $4.40 per hour before 6pm and $2.20 per hour between 6pm-10pm (so be sure to bring change).
Operating times are 8am-6pm, Monday-Wednesday and 8am-11pm, Thursday -Sunday. Hickson Road is currently a No Stopping zone between 11pm - 6am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Make sure you arrive at least 1/2 hr prior to the performance starting time as it can take more than 10 minutes to park, get to the theatre and be seated in time.
